Most of the artwork in the scrapbook is by Lydia Field Emmet at about 19 or 20 years old. Some of the artwork is by her sister, Rosina, who was 12 years her elder. Many of the sketches and artwork are not signed or initialed, so for many it is unclear which of the sisters drew or painted the image.
